More Info: Pokemon HeartGold and Soulsilver 06/15/2009
The official Japanese Pokemon website has revealed better-quality images of HeartGold and SoulSilver's Johto map and box art in addition to a new image of Ecruteak City. No new information was revealed on the website, though we can now see that there is a new, fairly large chunk of land to the west of Cianwood City (Johto's Battle Frontier?), a new building west of Goldenrod City next to the Radio Tower, and a small new area west of National Park. All of the new locations are outlined in the second map image below. Thanks go to Jason for assisting me with this news story. They are called "Refreshing Field," "Noisy Forest," "Rugged Path," and "Edge of the Night Sky," the latter being the one that the McDonalds Jirachi unlocks once traded over to the two games (note: The Jirachi will also be downloadable via Wi-Fi to people who own the Japanese games). The default courses are the first two, and to unlock the Rugged Path field you need to take an unconfirmed 1,000 steps. Presumably, the more steps you take with the PokeWalker, the more fields you will unlock, and the more wild Pokemon you can encounter. To encounter a wild Pokemon, you use the PokeWalker's built-in PokeRadar, which will detect wild Pokemon and then allow your Pokemon to battle it. You can also use the PokeWalker's Item Finder to find hidden items, just like in the main games. To use both items requires a certain amount of watts, or steps taken. As a side note, both Lugia and Ho-Oh are confirmed to be capturable in both games, just like in the original Gold and Silver. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Platinum: Supreme Victors announced 06/10/2009

More downloadable Pokemon is on the way to WiiWare. Nintendo announced today in JapanRansen Pokemon Scramble, a slightly different take on the Pokemon franchise. In Scramble, you take control of a windup Pokemon toy in overhead stages of play. As you defeat rival Pokemon and, eventually, bosses, you end up building up your roster of ally Pokemon. This is where the "Ransen" part of the title comes into play. "Ransen" is Japanese for "Battle Royal." Once you've gathered Pokemon of enough strength, you can enter a battlefield to face your party off against dozens of rivals. Your goal is to be the last one standing. While there does appear to be a strong single player component to the game, Pokemon Scramble will also support four player cooperative play. Other players can bring over their Pokemon data via their Wiimotes. Those with limited controllers can get two player play out of a single Nunchuck/Wiimote combo. For a first look at at Pokemon Scramble, see the game's official site. The site is is in Japanese, as Nintendo has yet to announce an English release. In Japan, players will get their hands on this new Pokemon game on June 16. The title is priced at 1,500 WiiPoints. Forum Update 06/03/2009
We have 170 members and over 5,000 posts. To be honest the forum lacks post count and I really need that to increase greatly. I can't make members be active. Do you know how hard it is to keep active members? I only have 7 active members out of 170 members. That sucks badly.
